Expect what you would expect from a movie with this title. It tries to be more than it is capable of, but ends up being totally forgettable. Banks and Kendrick are worth the watch.
The humour doesn't work, the script is chaotic and Delpy's writing and directing keeps her from being critical of her own performance. The characters do work and are well cast.
The script is downright awful. But the chemistry between the characters works, and the stunning visual effects and humour make watching the movie bearable.
The fairy tale grows up and shows its dark edge. The storytelling falls flat in the middle and Stewart's talent is not able to fill the shoe size required for this role, but Hemsworth and Theron make the movie worth watching.
This movie is bad for your blood pressure. Not only are the characters constantly annoyed and shouting at each other, you as a viewer will be increasingly annoyed with the movie for wasting what could have been a nice evening.
