Even if you’re not interested in baseball, this movie is a fascinating exploration of superior management skills and a trust in science that is a valuable lesson to all managers. Pitt is fantastic, and Hill is much better than in a comedy role.
Cleverly written plot on the dirty game of politics seen at its most dark, where the focus in the movie shifts from idealism to corruption. Excellent performances by Gosling, Clooney, Seymour Hoffman, Giamatti and Wood.
A worthy ending to a cleverly written and well acted series.
It would be great if Hollywood would reinvent the romantic comedy formula, innovate. Until then, we have to suffer predictable, poor writing like this that even drowns out the bad acting.
Cliche-ridden and judgmental.
