The characters of Erroll and Allison are not very believable, partly because of bad scripting and partly because it’s just not Gere’s and Danes’ best work. The movie is carried by the deeply disturbing plot.
As funny as David Schwimmer. So, not. Completely unbelievable script, poor casting, even worse acting, insult to anyone’s intelligence. Time waster.
Touch of cult, sprinkle of romance, stirred with humour and some good acting, makes for a pretty decent pie with a heart in the middle.
Lord of the mockings. Entertaining, with an overwhelming star cast.
As all romcom’s this one follows the recipe by the book, but it also works pretty well.
